Night of fashion and fundraising

Event will support Charlotte's Vision

AN EVENING of fashion, style and fundraising will take place in the Ard Rí House Hotel, Tuam on Saturday, April 11, as local charity Charlotte’s Vision hosts its much-anticipated Glamour for Good fashion show.

The evening begins at 7pm with a drinks and canapés reception where a selection of stalls while showcase offerings from local businesses.

The catwalk show will feature collections from boutiques in Tuam and the wider catchment area.

The night will be hosted by Caroline Downey, stylist with RTÉ’s Today Show and Chairperson of Charlotte’s Vision, alongside Mandy Maher of Catwalk Modelling Agency. There will also be a Best Dressed competition on the night.

Chairperson of Charlotte’s Vision Caroline Downey said the event highlights the incredible community support behind the charity.

"I am so proud of where this charity has come from and what we have achieved. It’s nights like these and the support of so many that allows us to support and make a difference in research for metastatic breast cancer. Things are improving, and research is key. Whether you are hoping to win the Best Dressed title or simply want a great night out with friends, we invite everyone to come along. Don’t feel you have to glam it up to attend – it’s about enjoying the night and supporting a very important cause."

Charlotte’s Vision was established in memory of Tuam woman Charlotte Sweeney, whose family and friends set up the charity to raise funds specifically for metastatic breast cancer research. All funds raised from the evening will go directly to metastatic breast cancer research at the Lambe Institute in Galway, in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI).
