Council to contact owners of derelict Dunmore buildings
GALWAY County Council are set to write to the owners of the derelict properties on Bridge Street in Dunmore in a bid to have safety risk concerns addressed.
Hundreds of people protested in the town earlier this month to highlight the community’s frustration over the delays in delivering promised regeneration plans for the narrow street and the safety risks for those using the road.
Speaking at Monday’s meeting of Galway County Council, Cllr Andrew Reddington asked who was responsible for addressing the safety threat, stating that there many people in Dunmore asking what the council were doing to help solve the problem.
