Thief swipes cash from church collection box

A THIEF made off with cash from the collection box at Moylough Church.

Gardaí in the village are investigating the incident which occurred on Monday morning between 9.30 and 10.30 am.

It’s reported that the culprit entered St Patrick’s Church and removed cash and coins from the collection box as well as the adjoining candelabra.

CCTV footage shows a male leaving the church and walking in the direction of Tuam. He was wearing blue jeans and a brown baseball cap.

Gardaí at Moylough are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area during this period and observed any suspicious activity around the St Patricks Church area of Moylough.
