Six Galway nominees for ladies All-Stars

ALL-IRELAND semi-finalists Galway have received six nominations in this year's TG4 Ladies Football All-Stars Awards scheme.

Captain Kate Geraghty (Tuam Cortoon), Ailbhe Davoren (Kilmacud Crokes, formerly Maigh Cuilinn) and the quartet of Nicola Ward, Hannah Noone, Louise Ward, Olivia Divilly (all Kilkerrin-Clonberne) have all been chosen on the 45-player list.

The 2025 team will be announced at a gala banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday evening. The Junior, Intermediate and Senior Players’ Player of the Year Award winners will also be revealed on the night.

All-Ireland senior champions Dublin lead the way with 12 nominations .

Runners-up Meath have ten players included, Division 1 champions Kerry are next in line with seven, just ahead of Galway.

There are three Waterford nominees, two each for Armagh and Cork, and one apiece for Kildare, Mayo and Tipperary on the list compiled by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s All-Star committee.

Kate Sullivan and Hannah Tyrrell, who both starred in attack for Dublin, have been nominated alongside Galway’s Olivia Divilly for the Senior Players’ Player of the Year Award.
