A HEADFORD woman is involved in organising the fourth Dairy Women Ireland conference in Cork next week.

The Charleville Park Hotel will host the annual conference on Friday, November 21. A full schedule is planned for the day, with guest speakers and discussion sessions covering many different aspects of farm life.

Niamh Farrell from Headford has been a member of Dairy Women Ireland (DWI) since it was set up in 2021 by Lynaire Ryan and Paidi Kelly, and the first DWI conference was held in November of 2022 at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) campus in Thurles.rganisation. Some women were at home full-time looking after the household living on a farm, or there were women doing trojan work themselves on the farm that was going unnoticed,” offered Niamh.
