Tuam’s JFC investing €5million in its new Swiss facility

Keen interest in new milk cart

SEPTEMBER 2025 proved to be a noteworthy month for JFC Group.

A week after launching the first EV milk cart to be manufactured in Tuam at the National Ploughing Championships, JFC Group owner John Concannon and his wife Patricia were in Switzerland last Thursday for the opening of a new distribution headquarters in Elsau, outside Zurich, worth an approximate investment of €5.65million.

JFC Group have subsidiaries in ten different countries, and Fuhrer+Bachmann AG in Switzerland is one of them. The Swiss company make table saws for cutting ceramic tiles, bricks and concrete, and supply diamond tools and machinery for the construction industry.

“It’s a big investment by JFC Group. They employ about 30 people. Maria Walsh (MEP) and the Irish Ambassador to Switzerland (Aoife McGarry) were there for the opening,” offered John Concannon.
