TURLOUGHMORE have hardly missed a beat since their chastening opening day group defeat at the hands of Clarinbridge and recorded a pillar to post 17-point victory over an outclassed Killimordaly on Sunday afternoon.

The first instalment on Sunday's Senior Hurling Championship preliminary quarter-final double-header barely got the pulses of neutrals racing as the die was cast from a very early juncture. Turlough' clocked up nine unanswered points and kept Killimordaly scoreless until the 20th minute, snuffing out their key attacking threats throughout.

Brian Burke's early second half goal and a David Concannon point immediately afer reduced the deficit to 0-14 to 1-6. Their performance levels appeared to be revving up, however it was all too brief respite for Dermot Earls' side as Turlough' points continued to rain over with ten different players contributing.
