Galway and Mayo farmers feel snubbed

Call for Tuam meeting

THE Galway IFA Chairman has expressed his disappointment at a series of consultation events being held in September and October on Ireland’s Nature Restoration Plan, none of which are taking place in counties Galway or Mayo.

The NPWS (National Parks and Wildlife Service) have been given responsibility for formulating the legislation for Ireland’s Nature Restoration Plan, and a series of in-person ‘community conversations’ on the plan are taking place in eight locations in the country.
