Tuam man reports for TG4 youth news
TUAM’S Conor Ó Domhnailll will be a new face on TG4’s news programme for younger audiences.
Conor is a new reporter on Nuacht Cúla4 which returns for its third season this week and is broadcast daily at 1.30pm and 5.30pm from Tuesday to Friday.
Although he was not raised with Irish, Conor has nurtured a deep passion for the language since primary school, and he is committed to using his skills to connect with young audiences through Nuacht Cúla4.
He previously attended Gaelscoil Iarfhlatha in Tuam and Coláiste an Eachréidh in Athenry before completing a BA in Cumarsáid & Gaeilge (Communications & Irish) and a Master’s degree in Cleachtas Gairmiúil sna Meáin (Professional Media Practice) at the University of Galway.
Outside of journalism, Conor is an avid sports enthusiast. Growing up, he played football, soccer, and rugby with Tuam. He is a dedicated supporter of Galway teams and a loyal fan of Liverpool F.C., with Mo Salah as his favourite player.
He is looking forward to being part of the reporting team that brings relevant and accessible news for younger audiences.
