Stars of the future sparkle in national schools’ deciders

FINALS season in the annual Allianz Cumann na mBunscol competitions is without doubt one of the main highlights on the local GAA calendar.

Knockdoemore, the impressive home of Claregalway GAA Club, was the place to be as 24 national schools braved the wind and rain to battle it out for the prize of being crowned county champions in boys' football.

After months of action, it all reached a climax with cups going to all corners of the county from 15-a-side right down to 5-a-side.

Silverware went to Tuam's Gaelscoil Iarfhlatha and Trinity Primary as well as Ballygar in the north, to Killure in the ........
