Tuam gets extra driving tester in bid to reduce wait times
AN extra driving tester is to be deployed in Tuam by the end of September in a bid to reduce the long driving test waiting times.
It's part of a plan by the Roads Safety Authority (RSA) which has been instructed to reduce the average national waiting times for a test from 27 weeks to 10 weeks by early September.
In Galway, a total of 4,171 applicants are awaiting a test, 817 of whom are in Tuam.
