Help can be close to home

HELP is at hand close to home when it comes to mental health issues was the message from a successful 'Hello, How are you?' event in Tuam last week.

A large crowd gathered throughout the day in the Miller's Cottage in the town centre where Tuam and District Mental Health Association hosted a range of talks, information sessions and a social space as part of wider national campaign of Mental Health Ireland.

The event saw people from across North Galway drop by for a cuppa, a chat, and some helpful information on mental health and well-being.

“People going through mental health issues often are unaware of the many services available locally to help them,” John Feely, Chairperson of the TDMHA explained to The Tuam Herald.
