Homecoming for cheerleading heroes

TUAM is holding a homecoming for their cheerleading heroes this Friday evening, May 9.

The Irish team, which included 16 teenagers from Tuam, won a bronze medal in the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, USA recently – the first ever such medal for an Irish team.

The ICU world championship is the premier international event for cheerleading and featured national teams from around the world competing in various divisions.

Members of the public are encouraged to come out and show their support and enjoy the celebrations which take place in The Square, Tuam on Friday, May 9 from 7pm.
