SPRING CRAFT FAIR

Tuam Men’s Shed to showcase and sell their work

TUAM Men’s Shed is holding its annual Spring Craft Fair on Saturday April 6, from 10am to 4pm. It will take place at their premises on the Dublin Road.

There are over 400 branches of the Men’s Shed Association in Ireland. The Tuam branch was founded in 2013 and, thanks to the patronage of the Archdiocese, occupies the old school building behind the Brothers Monastery.

Over the years the men have created a fine meeting room and work space there. In the well-equipped workshop, there is great scope for carpentry and wood turning. Their newest machine is a CNC Router for making wall plaques.

The Shed is open five days every week and gives men a chance to meet and socialise.

An elected Committee manage the building and ensure that the finances are there to cover overheads.
