Competition aims to boost new business growth in Tuam area

A COMPETITON has been launched, with a prize pot of €20,000, aimed at boosting entrepreneurial projects and local business around the Tuam area.

Open to anyone in business less than five years or someone with a new idea and are located within a 20km radius of Tuam is urged to enter the competition being run by Action Tuam and Galway Local Enterprise Office.

A speed-mentoring session will be held in the town as part of the event, before the judges announce their overall winner.

The event is run in conjunction with Galway Local Enterprise Office and will also feature a speed-mentoring session for participants in May before the overall winner is announced.

Entrants are asked to submit a detailed business plan that would meet a pressing need or fill a gap in the market that they have identified.
