Claregalway’s 9 Arch launch musical

IT’S showtime again with 9 Arch Claregalway Musical Society bringing their 21st show to the stage.

Rehearsals have been going on in Claregalway College since last August, with the hit musical Kinky Boots about to have its premier for Connacht when it takes to the stage in Galway’s Town Hall Theatre from November 15 to 18.

Kinky Boots features original songs by Cyndi Lauper and received 13 Tony award nominations and won six Tony Awards, including ‘Best Musical’, in 2013.

It is a fun and fast paced lively production, with lots of show stopping numbers and big choruses.

Based on a true story, Charlie (played by Niall Caulfield) inherits his late father’s traditional shoe factory, and soon discovers it can no longer compete with the cheaper imports and is destined to close…
