Tuam woman’s designs go live on global fashion site

A TUAM designer is thrilled to see her very own collection now on sale on the global fashion online shopping platform SHEIN.

So far, it’s a year that Roseanne McNamee from Togher won’t forget as she celebrated her marriage and also travelled to the SHEIN headquarters in Singapore.

Roseanne, a fashion design graduate and owner of Pretty Little Nails in Tuam, told The Tuam Herald she was convinced the first email contact from SHEIN was a scam.

“I woke up to the email and didn’t think it was real. They had seen my portfolio of work on the digital platform Behance and liked it,” explained Roseanne, who was subsequently offered a place in the SHEIN X programme.

SHEIN X is described as an incubator programme for new and freelance designers. The clothing and accessories are drawn up by the designers and manufactured and sold by SHEIN – a popular fast-fashion site…
