OVER 100 people are set to take part in the Take a Breath charity challenge in Athenry this weekend as they aim to raise awareness of how people living with asthma can manage their condition.

The Asthma Society Run Galway 2023 is being led by Athenry man Mike McDonagh who has lived with chronic asthma all his life.

Mike, who turns 50 on Saturday, will be celebrating the milestone birthday with the Asthma Society of Ireland, which also marks its 50th anniversary on the day.
