Businesses gear up for bumper weekend

TUAM is set to buzz so much – the bees might get confused.

Shops and pub fronts are getting the Docs treatment, Tuam’s twist on festival t-shirts are flying and there’s even a West Awake lager. West Awake (part two) is pipped to be a magical weekend.

Tickets for the two Saw Doctors’ concert in the Big Top in St Jarlath’s grounds sold out in just minutes earlier this year and, while the weather is set to pick up, downpours are unlikely to deter those who’ve been lucky to secure their entry.

Since a crew of community volunteers erected colourful bunting around the town centre streets early on Sunday morning, the atmosphere has been building in the town with everyone working together to ensure everyone benefits and everyone has a great time…
