Over a decade in the making — Tuam’s Christy to launch poetry debut
‘A CELEBRATION of local life’ is how the debut book of poetry by well-known Tuam man Christy Corcoran has been summed up.
Christy’s writing was inspired by the regular music, song and stories sessions — Soundbites — held in Tuam Library. Attending one of the lunchtime events over a decade ago inspired him to put all the words in his head down on paper and, later, present his self-penned poems at the sessions.
