Tuam Cancer Care’s Pop-Up shop returns

Donations sought as costs of running the centre have increased significantly

AFTER an absence of two years due to the pandemic, the hugely popular Tuam Cancer Care Pop-Up shop returns with a host of high-end bargains for those in need of a retail fix.

Hosted by Tuam Stars this year, the event takes place on Saturday February 18, with donations being sought to ensure the day is another resounding success.

The shop has raised thousands of euros for the charity in recent years and the committee organising it are hopeful of another year of generosity from the public, both in donations and purchases on the day.

“We have some gorgeous dresses and accessories, which are always hugely popular, and our appeal is to people who may have unwanted or unopened Christmas presents, to donate them to the shop,” said Orla Heneghan.

“The generosity of Tuam Stars in allowing us to use their clubhouse to host the pop-up shop is very much appreciated and it allows us so much space to showcase what we will have on the day: everything from designer dresses, to shoes, handbags, hats, coats and knitwear, as well as sports jerseys, perfumes, gift sets and jewellery.”
