Minister joins Coláiste an Chreagáin’s celebrations

Sod turned on new construction studies and multimedia facility

THE official opening of a new science block merged with celebrations to mark the 90th anniversary of Coláiste an Chreagáin last week, as Education Minister Norma Foley visited the Mountbellew school.

Minister Foley was welcomed by members of the Student Council who gave her a tour of the new state of the art facility at the GRETB school, where 100 full-time students are enrolled.

Acting Principal Pauline Davoren thanked all who had joined the school community for the special occasion, including past pupils and former teachers, along with a host of local dignitaries, including Ministers Anne Rabbitte and Denis Naughten and Senators Aisling Dolan, Eugene Murphy and Ronan Mullen.
