Dunmore company continues to grow

THE crew at Evergreen Fields in Dunmore garnered 87 new customers from their foray to the National Ploughing Championships recently.

Evergreen Fields are a waste disposal and transport company, with the biosolids industry comprising up to 80 per cent of their business.

Biosolids are solid organic matter taken from wastewater treatment plants and spread on land as a low-cost fertiliser, something that is increasingly relevant given the extortionate rise in fertiliser prices over the past 12 months.

“We’d have been happy with 10 new customers. We managed to get 87 new farmers. We weren’t really expecting that,” said Stephen Smyth, Managing Director of Evergreen Fields…
