Former Presentation College Headford student impressing on national and international stages

CAHERLISTRANE’S Niamh St John is a soprano opera singer, and her talents were rewarded in the Midlands recently.

Niamh won the Canto Al Serchio Award at the 2022 Trench Awards Gala, held at the Birr Festival of Music in May.

She was the winning contestant from six finalists in Birr, chosen by baritone singer Bruno Cparoni and pianist Julian Evans.

This award is the latest she has won for her work, and it enables Niamh to travel to the beautiful Tuscany region in central Italy to attend the Summer Opera Academy, run by Bruno and Julian...
