Galway dairy suppliers set to benefit from Arrabawn price rise

ARRABAWN’S announcement on Monday of a 3.5c/L increase in their price of milk for April is good news for many dairy farmers in Galway.

This means that suppliers will get a baseline payment of 50.2c/L for the milk Arrabawn Co-Op receives from them, which could jump by a further few cents depending on the protein and butterfat concentration of the milk.

The Nenagh-based organisation and Aurivo in Sligo are the most popular processing destinations for milk produced on Galway farms.
