Archbishop's presence at Tuam Mother and Baby Home site is welcomed

ARCHBISHOP of Tuam Francis Duffy has been praised for showing courage and solidarity in welcoming a group of campaigners to the Tuam Mother and Baby Home site after they ran and cycled across six countries to raise awareness of the 796 babies buried there.

The group of 17 Germans, who left Osnabrück in Germany on Sunday, April 24, arrived on Tuesday morning at the site, where Archbishop Duffy was waiting with a number of survivors and their families, along with campaigner Catherine Corless and local TD Sean Canney.
