‘Men on the Move’ is back

Eight-week Galway Sports Partnership Programme

MEN of Tuam and North Galway – are you aged 30+ or are worried about extra bodyweight or are thinking about getting more active or want to improve your overall health and wellbeing?

The Galway Sports Partnership is pleased to announce the award winning ‘Men on the Move’ physical activity programme will be returning to Tuam next week.

The programme is an evidence based, men-only exercise programme, aimed at helping participants to get back to fitness and stay active. It is suitable for beginners, walkers/joggers, those returning to fitness and adapted to a level and pace that suits you

As most people know, regular exercise can have significant benefits for the body and mind. That is why Galway Sports Partnership encourages the men of Tuam to join fitness expert and coach Helen Daly – at an outdoors location – two evenings a week for 60 mins of gentle cardio and exercise.

The first session of the eight-week programme will begin at 6.30pm on Monday April 25. Once registered, Galway Sports Partnership will contact you with information on the meetup point, what to wear, and all the rest.

To sign up to the programme, registration is through Eventbrite, link available via the webpage www.galwayactive.ie . Cost is just €20 per person for the eight-week programme.

This programme is run in partnership with The HSE Health Promotion Unit and funded by Sport Ireland and Galway County Council.
