Run in Red event for Jonah

A HOST of celebrities from around the country have been showing their support for a fundraiser for six-year-old Jonah Murphy, an adorable boy with a very serious and rare heart condition.

Among those to row in behind the #I’m Supporting Jonah campaign are RTE sports presenter Jacqui Hurley, RTE reporter Teresa Mannion and local sporting heroes such as Galway senior football manager Padraic Joyce and Galway senior hurling captain Daithi Burke, to mention but a few.

Jonah, the only son of Cregmore NS staff member Edel Glynn and her husband Jonathan Murphy, is affectionately known as ‘Jonah, the Little Heart Warrior’, due to his determination and resilience.

The highlight of this initiative will take place on Saturday April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 5km Road Run/Walk and a Family Fun Day. This Road Run/Walk commences at 11.30 a.m., starting at Cregmore National School’s car park.
