Thieves target cattle crushes

Steel prices unlikely to return

THE price of steel is the highest it’s been since 2007, a knock-on effect felt by two Lavally farmers recently.

One of the farmers was also left without the back gate of his crush, and he estimates that he is down between €300 and €400 as a result of the theft.
