Popular local agricultural show may return in June
Corrandulla Committee to meet on February 10
THE Corrandulla Show is one of the biggest agricultural shows in the West of Ireland, and its organisers are cautiously optimistic it will be back in 2022.
The show is held on over 40 acres of land in Corrandulla village on the fourth Sunday of June and attracts a crowd of anywhere between 5,000 and 10,000 people. The 40th anniversary of the show was celebrated in 2017 and, like so many events of its kind, it has not been run since 2019.
Lucile Smyth is the Chairwoman of the Corrandulla Show Committee and one of a core group of people involved in organising the event.
An open meeting is to take place on Thursday, February 10, in the Pastoral Centre in Corrandulla to determine if there is an appetite to get the show back up and running this summer ...
