New multi-storey school likely to cost over €20 million

Funding ring-fenced and design team to be appointed

FUNDING for what will be the largest primary school campus in North Galway has been sanctioned.

The new Tuam ‘super school’ on a 14-acre site on the Dublin Road will be the home for the Trinity Primary School pupils and those attending Tuam Educate Together Primary School.

While the Department of Education won’t comment on a possible figure ahead of the tendering process, it’s likely to be in the region of €20 to €25 million euro given the scale of the development.
