Wheelchair user’s unique artwork brightening up the school’s walls

ATHENRY native and secondary school student Joshua Whelan has created two striking art pieces with the aid of his wheelchair wheels.

Joshua is in first year in Clarin College and his work brought a crew from RTÉ to the school grounds in the townland of Newford in Athenry last week. Joshua's first piece is an abstract painting of the Athenry town map; his second is of the Old Barracks in the town.
