CAVAN native Francis Duffy has been installed as the Archbishop of Tuam in a low-key ceremony at the Cathedral of the Assumption this afternoon (Sunday).

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only a limited number of people was permitted to attend and witness the handover from the out-going Dr Michael Neary to the new Archbishop.

Also present were His Excellency, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus, clergy from around the Archdiocese of Tuam and representatives from a number of local diocesan groups.
