Twice burnt-out Council house now too costly to renovate

A HOUSE that has been burned out on two occasions in Caltra is no longer viable to hold on to as a Council property and the local authority has proposed to sell it for just over €100,000.

The semi-detached house has been subjected to repeated serious acts of vandalism over the past number of years and the Council has spent significant sums renovating it.
