Tuam students’ musical Grease promises to be slick production

THE country’s longest running school musical returns this coming weekend, with the annual St Jarlath’s College Amateur Operatic Society production, in conjunction with Scoil Bhríde, the Mercy, set to woo audiences.

As with 2020, this year the decision has been made to have an online production with students taking on and proudly presenting Grease, The Musical from Friday, December 10 to Sunday, December 12.

By now famous, the Opera in St. Jarlath’s College is an unbroken tradition spanning 78 years, making it the longest running school musical in the country. This year has, once again, presented a unique set of challenges for both schools, yet all involved were determined to uphold this proud tradition, albeit with the health and safety of everyone involved a priority.

Tickets to view Grease online are available now at the following link: www.booktixlive.eu/portal/sjc at www.jarlaths.ie or www.mercytuam.com. The link can also be found on both of the schools’ Facebook and Twitter pages.
