Pop-up Covid test centre in Tuam

A POP-UP Covid-19 testing site will operate in Tuam next week due to the high numbers seeking tests for the virus.

The HSE will operate a temporary Covid testing centre on Monday and Tuesday, November 15 and 16 at Tuam Stadium.

The test centre will be open from 10am to 4pm on both days.

People requiring a test, should book an appointment online www.hse.ie in the Covid 19 section of the site.

The Tuam test centre is not a walk-in facility.

There were 259 positive cases in the Tuam Local Electoral Area during the two-week period from October 25 to November 8. The incidence rate for the area is 780 per 100,000 population.

The HSE test centre at Carnmore has seen a significant increase in demand for tests over the past week.
