‘Flatten it’ — old FCA Hall now a dangerous drinking den

CALLS for Tuam’s former FCA Hall to be demolished have been made after reports of anti-social activity at the Old Road site in the town.

The hall, which was vacated by the Defence Forces in 2013 following a decision to close all FCA premises throughout the country, has become a drinking den after windows were broken to allow access to the building. It is also believed people may be squatting in the hall. Former members of the Reserve Forces in Tuam are fearful that lives could be lost if the current situation is allowed to continue.
