Cloonboo driver parks up his bus for the last time

THE wheels on the bus will grind to a halt next week for Cloonboo bus driver Johnny Greaney who is retiring from his school bus service after 42 years.

Johnny, who took over the business from his father Martin, has been ferrying schoolchildren to and from school throughout the Annaghdown, Corrandulla, Corofin and Headford areas as a contract driver for Bus Eireann.

His final journey will bring Leaving Cert students home from their exams at the end of this month and he said it’s been some journey down through the years.
