COMMUNITIES and clubs are continuing to rally behind a fundraising campaign to support the rehabilitation of three-year-old Katie Walsh from Ballyglunin who lost her foot in a machinery accident just over a month ago.

An online gofundme page smashed its target of €100,000 in just a week and it now stands at €142,000 – an amazing amount to raise in less than a month. On Saturday, teams of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got scrubbing cars, vans and even bikes that came along to be washed at Ryan’s in Laraghmore, where the carwash and raffle succeeded in raising an impressive €18,000 for the Two Steps for Katie campaign.
