Galway teens lonely, isolated and suffering mental health issues during pandemic

TEENAGERS in Galway are feeling a lot lonelier and have experienced an increase in mental health problems during the pandemic.

These are among the findings of a survey of 15- to 16-year-olds across counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon carried out in secondary schools at the end of last year.

More than half of teenagers in the county aren’t getting enough sleep and this too is having a negative impact on their wellbeing and experience at school.
