Noddy finds new forever home on east coast

A WEEK after a search for his father began, Noddy the dwarf ram is preparing to move to the east coast to take up the offer of a forever home.

The nine-month-old black faced ram, believed to be one of the few of his kind in the country, measures just 50cm tall. Clonbur farmer Paddy Rocks, who bought Noddy from a farm in County Sligo earlier this month, put out an appeal in last week’s Tuam Herald to find him a more suitable home than the Connemara hills where he was struggling to hold his own among the larger flock.

Following hundreds of calls from all over the country, an offer of a €500 donation to Madra, the dog rescue and adoption charity, saw Noddy moving to Wicklow.
