Quad lambs help Cillian recover from surgery

A NINE-year-old boy recovering from serious surgery has had a boost this week with the arrival of quadruple lambs that are aiding the healing process.

Cillian Mearns from Cloghans Hill, Tuam, underwent an operation in Temple Street Children’s Hospital last month to insert a rod into his back to realign his spine from his shoulder down to his pelvis. Cillian has scoliosis and also suffers a rare neurological condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) that confines him to a wheelchair.
