GALWAY HURLERS PRODUCE HALLOWEEN FIREWORKS

GALWAY are back ... back to another Leinster Senior Hurling Championship final that is, in what is their eighth time to qualify for the decider since linking into the province in 2009.
It comes on the back of dishing out a somewhat unexpected hammering to Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford, with their high-profile manager hitting out at his players perceived lack of effort directly after the final whistle of Galway’s comprehensive 1-27 to 0-17 win.
Fitzgerald, who had been hotly linked to the vacant Galway post when Micheál Donoghue elected to step away, was hurting afterwards.
