Ambitious plans for looped walk in Headford to serve locals and visitors

AMBITIOUS plans to provide greater access to Headford’s most historic tourist attraction, Ross Errilly Friary, have been unveiled by a local councillor.
Cllr Andrew Reddington has called on Galway County Council to seek funding to develop a 5.5km looped Ross Errilly Trail from the Franciscan Friary, which dates to the 14th century, into Headford via the Cong Road and on to Sandybanks Lane.
The route would continue up through the town and back out to the friary along the Claran Road.
