A LEADING scientist from Tuam is urging people to engage in proper hand hygiene and avoid face masks to ensure they protect themselves from Covid 19.
Professor Dearbháile Morris, Head of Bacteriology at the School of Medicine, NUI Galway, said she appreciates people are worried but says that trusting the HSE guidelines is the safest way to avoid catching or spreading the virus.
