WHAT the new Aldi store will look like.

BREAKING: Aldi gets green light for Tuam store

SUPERMARKET group has been granted planning permission for its first-ever store in Tuam.

Aldi says it plans to have the supermarket, earmarked for part of the Glynn’s Homevalue Hardware site on the Ballygaddy Road, complete by 2022.
At the end of last month, Aldi submitted its response to a request for further information on the development which saw extensive changes to the original proposal.

The location of the supermarket has now been moved and it’s intended to have the building adjoining the Ballygaddy Road and N17 boundaries of the site. A café with exterior terrace is also a new addition to the plan. The store will be powered by 100 per cent green electricity.
