Funds flushed away on closed facility

TUAM’S decommissioned super loo, which was meant to be removed from its town centre location last year, is continuing to cost €10,000 of public money, despite it not being in use.
The controversial facility has been allocated the sum as part of the operation and maintenance of public conveniences, which amounts to €20,000, in Tuam Municipal District’s council budget for 2020.
