Sarah Jane brings show to Edinburgh

INTERNATIONAL theatre audiences are getting a taste of Tuam’s artistic talent as a young playwright and actor brings her one woman show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Sarah Jane Scott, daughter of Cathal and Sally Reynolds of High Street in the town, is playing to packed audiences at the Summer Hall Theatre in the city that hosts the largest arts festival in the world.
Her show, Appropriate, was staged in Bewley’s on Grafton Street last September as part of Dublin’s Fringe Festival.
It tells the story of Sorcha, a bride from the West of Ireland who flees her own wedding reception, and has been praised by Irish arts critics as ‘sharply observed’ and ‘supremely funny’.
It is now one of the 2,000 different shows running as part of the Edinburgh Festival and is attracting audiences of all ages from all corners of the globe.
