Padraic Mannion is the last postmaster at Ballyglunin.

Last delivery at Ballyglunin

BALLYGLUNIN Post Office will close its doors for the last time on Wednesday, October 31, marking the end of 23 years of service by Padraic Mannion.
It is just one of 18 post offices in Galway closing as part An Post's voluntary retirement scheme for local postmasters and postmistresses.
The closure will mean that Ballyglunin will be without a post office for the first time in more than a century. The first post office in the locality opened back in the late nineteenth century and was located beside the RIC Barracks on Monastery Road.
