Extra gardai in Athenry due to drug related incidents

AN extra Garda has been stationed in Athenry, with the hope that a second will be allocated later this year, in response to a rise in anti-social behaviour in the town.

Garda Supt Sean Glynn told members of the Co Galway Joint Policing Committee meeting this week that the force was aware of a number of incidents in the town in recent months.
